The Training Completion Assurance Fund (TCAF) will be an Ontario non-profit organization. It will be created in 2002 to provide training completion Assurance and contribute to the stability of Ontario's Private Career College (PCC) system. TCAF will provide funds to assist in paying the cost of completing the training of all students enrolled in registered programs if a TCAF member fails and no other PCC assumes the responsibility for their students.
In the rare instance that a trainout cannot be offered, TCAF would be able to reimburse all or part of a student's paid tuition.
As a student, you will not have to apply for Training Completion Assurance. Registered programs offered at TCAF member colleges are automatically protected.
TCAF will be established in June 2002 to protect students in over 400 Private Career Colleges. As of TCAF's proposed January 1, 2003 launch, some 30,000 students will be protected.
